BazaarOfViolence
ThoughtStorms Wiki
Recently JohnRobb coined the term BazaarOfViolence to talk about an emergent market-like organization of disperate terrorist groups and criminals which is particularly hard to fight against.

- Bazaar of violence in Iraq : http://globalguerrillas.typepad.com/globalguerrillas/2004/07/thebazaarof_v.html-
- Explicit analogy with TheCathedralAndBazaar : (and http://globalguerrillas.typepad.com/globalguerrillas/2004/09/bazaar_dynamics.html (and calls the bazaar a platform, so see OnPlatforms)
A reason why NationState/NationBuilding can be hard. Essentially the BazaarOfViolence protects itself and prevents a state. (NationState/UnderAttack)
Reading this : suddenly http://globalguerrillas.typepad.com/globalguerrillas/2004/08/iraqandfoco_i.html suddenly makes me wonder. Are FreeMarkets always going to allow / encourage a BazaarOfViolence / Mafia style (dis)organized crime? Do you need a NationState to restrict the market, to control the BazaarOfViolence?
