Though I'm not convinced by his argument that preference is transitive. Perhaps we don't have transitive preferences but just have a higher level mechanism that kicks in and stops us cycling at an arbitrary point. Or perhaps escapes the loop by appealing to another agent.
Are SystemsTheorists naive because they try to apply statistical laws to human organization?
Counter : ZipfsLaw on word distribution. Humans say what we want , but still accord to the law. And it's not possible to see how humans could wilfully break Zipf's Law. I mean we clearly could construct individual texts that did, but what about whole ArtificialLanguages?
