The big story I missed recently is GrahamLally's "Money is Dead" : http://www.exmosis.net/node.MoneyisDead

Graham says that money is being subsumed into the PersonalIdentity economy. In particular :

• IdentityTheft is advanced evidence of this trend.
• impersonal money (alienated exchange?) is on the way out.
• the capitalist colonization of identity management (TheUserIsThePlatform / TheSocialDilemma / SurveillanceCapitalism) is more evidence
• at the same time personal identity will be subsumed into money. (More so than currently, I presume.)

Hmmm. Good synthesis. Very thought provoking. (Particularly the identity theft and personal identity being subsumed into money points that I hadn't really thought of.
