FaceBook changes its name to "Meta".

On the grounds it wants to be a MetaVerse company.

Some cynics think this is just junking the bad publicity associated with social media and the "Facebook" name.

I'm sure that's a bit of it.

But it's also an ambitious powergrab, based on the idea that the MetaVerse IS the next big thing. And that they can grab WebThreePointZero the way they owned WebTwoPointZero
