Has some interesting ideas for incremental UI improvements :
- another return key on left of keyboard. Right handed mouse users can hit return w/out letting go of mouse
- start to use gestures with a pen/pad interface
- integrated phone / voice recognition
- piles (a high level grouping of documents represented by a single icon. Can search through the pile by clicking on it and dragging the mouse.)
- filing cabinets with labelled draws
- scrap-books (miscellaneous collections of files and clip-board objects which can be browsed in thumbnail mode or opened as a virtual book)
- folders with visual cues as to size and age of contents
- people represented by icons on desktop : I should be able to drag a document onto an icon-sized photo of a colleague and have it automatically sent to the default address.
- tabbed virtual desktops (or projects)
