To study cities in the information age is to analyze the spatial form of the networked society in its deepest dimensions.
Areas of cities are increasingly tied to similar areas of other cities by information systems. Hence we are all part of one Metro-city, comprising certain burroughs from London, Paris, New York, Tokyo (plus my flat in Brasilia of course :-)
