I wonder if the same might be applied to SocialMedia. Are social media safer from InternetTrolls and abuse if there are more and many different types of people involved?

Well, the counter to that would be something like Twitter where the more people there are it seems the more this spawns GreaterInternetFuckWads.

Except, perhaps Twitter isn't a "place". OTOH, maybe comment threads of particular users / celebrities are places? Could more activist / interventionist public figures speaking out against the trolls in their fanbase be a solution?
