People need private channels of communication. To talk without inhibition, to plot to overthrow the government or a surprise birthday party. In general, we may be building the AlwaysOnPanopticon, but maybe the network can provide some (temporary) privacy.

Privacy protects seedling ideas from the frost of public humiliation.

Email, IM, private chatrooms can all be private connections.

Privacy must also be protected with PlsAnonymity
