Context : GiftEconomy, MicroChunking, OnWiki, OnMoney

I believe two things :

• a) money / patriarchy / hierarchy / oppression are fabulously successful at getting people to do work that they don't want to. (And therefore extracting more energy from people that they'd otherwise give.) (And this is BECAUSE, not despite, all the badness associated with them.)

• b) wiki is still a good example of how to harvest the micro-gifts of many towards something greater than the sum of the parts. The only ethical way to try to extract more work from the crowd is to make it so easy to capture and integrate the micro-gifts that you waste fewer of them. Work dissolved into pleasure.
