FaceBook changes its name to "Meta".

On the grounds it wants to be a MetaVerse company.

Some cynics think this is just junking the bad publicity associated with social media and the "Facebook" name.

I'm sure that's a bit of it.

But it's also an ambitious power-grab, based on the idea that the MetaVerse IS the next big thing. And that they can grab WebThreePointZero the way they owned WebTwoPointZero
