Been thinking about XOR, and the patterns which can come from exclusivity rather than mere competition.

For example :

• WeWillNeverMeet posits a kind of social network premised on members trying to keep a certain distance from each other. Membership is forfeit if this distance is broken.
• My EmailImmuneSystem idea is based on the idea that the same email appearing in two places, "cancels out" and deletes from both.
• AttentionLayer in Transformers
• CompetitiveWiki

Are the two really different? Aren't people always trying to demonstrate how xor can be implemented with various forms of CompetitiveArchitecture?
