Writing is thinking. And if you outsource your writing to the machine, you are basically letting the machine think for you.

like so many problems "caused by AI" this really reveals something rotten that long pre-existed AI. So much writing in the world was NOT authentic. It was advertising and marketing propaganda. It was boilerplate presentations and meetings that served nothing but bureaucratic theatre. It was unreadable EULAs and legal contracts and academic papers. It was exam answers designed to prove you'd read the text book.

In recent years writing became "content". Not something people did to express their ideas and communicate, but as a kind of bait to lure potential clients into their personal brands and sales funnels.

So many people wrote what they DIDN'T actually think. Because the writing wasn't really thinking at all; just word performance.

It's because we live in a world that had ALREADY detached writing from thinking, that now, so many people welcome machines taking over the drudgery of writing from us.
