The latest scam by TheRightWing around the world, is to try to make it harder for people to vote, particularly poorer, less well connected people. By introducing new barriers to voting / documentation required.
They do this in the name of stopping "voter fraud". But voter fraud is a trivial problem with very few cases coming to light. In contrast tens, if not hundreds of thousands are disempowered when you demand photo ID or a driving license to be allowed to vote.

Same has happened very quickly in the UK, where BorisJohnson has very quickly passed a law requiring that you need a passport or driving license to vote.
This has disqualified my mother who has neither.
