Threads

Threads is FaceBook's new Twitter competitor, microblogging site.

Obviously I boycott everything Fb / Meta so I won't be using it. And don't care much. BUT apparently it will be joining the Fediverse by using ActivityPub.

(Classic play, of course, by BigCos who are behind in the game. Embrace OpenStandards until they get big and then try to extend / coopt / enclose them.

I'm not falling for it, but will be interesting if it boosts ActivityPub
