When the senior management are considered the great men who are personally causal and responsible for the success of companies. Of course, all employees are personally responsible, but the cult kicks in when the management get disproportionate credit (and often reward)

Also note, often the high salaries go to the executives even when the corporation doesn't perform well? Why not?
