Part of PatternLanguageForTheSocialNetwork

It's now clear that wiki (OnWiki) has two great virtues :

  • free-form organizing of ideas and fragments of writing, easy refactoring
  • uninhibited, free communication and social discussion.

Each is valuable on it's own. (PlsEasyRefactoring, PlsForums) But is wiki greater than the sum of it's parts?

In some circumstances it might be less. The freedom of others to refactor your contributions might be a disincentive to many potential contributors.
