An internet is a network of networks. But not every network needs to run at the same speed. Some networks can be SlowNetworks.

Multiple speed networks allow people who live their lives at different speeds or who lack access at the fastest speed to nevertheless engage with the whole.

In particular, multi-speed neteworks act as ShearingLayers. They are semi-independent WorldsWithinWheels.

Within the ecology, there should be room for people who act as the gears who interface between networks of different speeds.
