What do you imagine technology will look like in the distant future?

Plants and Ghosts

Things we only want around some of the time will conveniently disappear when they aren't needed. They will be invisible and insubstantial. And only pop up again when we want them. Perhaps not entirely like ghosts, but you get the idea.

Things we want around all the time, will become more and more like the kind of environments we, as evolved forest-dwelling apes, find most comfortable. Which is plants.
