I'm fascinated by oratories ... the small "chapels" or miniaturized churches that (particularly Catholics I believe) have in their homes or carry about themselves.
One thing that strikes me (particularly through visiting the Oratory Museum in OuroPreto] is that oratories have undergone the same miniaturization process that computers have. From building or room size, to stand in the corner, to desktop to pocket to jewellery-sized.
