I'm fascinated by oratories ... the small "chapels" or miniaturized churches that (particularly Catholics I believe) have in their homes or carry about themselves.
One thing that strikes me (particularly through visiting the Oratory Museum in OuroPreto is that oratories have undergone the same miniaturisation process that computers have. From building or room size, to stand in the corner, to desktop to pocket to jewellery-sized.
