Probably a very RightWing take from someone I'm not familiar with.

But interesting.

Argues that extreme violent Islamism, rather than being far-right theocratic authoritarian conservatism (as I believe) is actually a development of what he thinks of as "atheist" "Marxism".

I'm sceptical of course, but worth noting, partly because I suspect we'll be hearing a lot more about this attempt to blame all Islamist extremism on the left.
