JustWarArguments

Depend on the definition of a Just War ...
But possible failures include the following :
Not an immediate self defence.
** US is not actually attacked by Iraq.
** US has not been requested for help by anyone under attack, as was the case with Kuwait. Eg. Israel, which might be best candidate is not currently under attack, nor asking for help.
But wasn't the US attacked on September 11?
To argue this, and that US is directly attacked, would need sufficient proof that Iraq was implicated in past attacks (not merely willing to help in future attacks)
Not proportional
eg. number of casualties might be disproportional to the validity of the reason for the war
Bad Motivation
If the US is primarily motivated by some "amoral" motivation eg. to control, stabilize, ensure the world's oil supplies over the next 50 years. A "Just War" may have to be faught for the right reason in order to be just.
