People want a fairer world but they also want many other things like keeping their lever of resource comsumption, keeping their position of prestige, keeping their roles in their communities etc. The problem here is what else people want.

Also, I think we have very little democracy indeed. Why can't I vote in the American election? Did I get consulted on that? Why can't I have a say on having wars? Why do the EU and the US plot against elected governments in a military way like they did disgustingly in Haiti? Why most people feel completely alienated from power in any sphere? Of course, the middle classes have more of a say here and there but this is just to prove the point.

Sad world, poor green trees that have to stand us.
