I'm interested in alternative currencies, but even more interested in HackingTheEconomy– employing the internet to create alternative real-money economies.

I do a lot of free software development, but mostly limit my contributions to improving other people's work (such as software that I use heavily). Although I have plenty of ideas for my own software and enough talent to implement them, I'm refraining from such activity until there is a reasonable solution for supporters to voluntarily compensate free software developers. By reasonable, I mean:

• decentralized

• efficient

• not dependent on for-profit entities

• automated (does not require producers or supporters to navigate some web site)
