** reminds me, PerlLanguage has taint for data from unreliable sources. I wonder if internet / social software needs an
equivalent. Perhaps your social software should flag all connections (email address, phone number, IM etc.) as being tainted unless you independently cross-check them against some kind of connection which didn't originally come via the suspect connection?
