Having a weblog says "My voice is worth hearing."

In truth, everyone's voice is worth hearing.

But most people don't realize it. Hence, having a weblog says something extra : "My voice is worth hearing and I know it"

It's that second clause which differentiates bloggers from non-bloggers.

Caveat

From non-bloggers who don't have access to another media outlet.

For those who do have access ... blogging says "I can and will route round any misrepresentation of me, made by the media channel. You have been warned, Mr. Paycheck!"
