Back in the days of Superstruct I actually proposed "Farm Golf".

Golf courses don't have to be as conservatively or wastefully designed as they are today to be fun. Why shouldn't a golf-course actually be a FoodForest with a few fairways driven through it? How much harder would you try to avoid a trap which was a water-treatment wetland? Even greenhouses can be protected by nets.

Sure, you lose the sense of exclusivity, but you could still have golf as a fun, challenging and healthy exercise for the older population inside a naturally beautiful and productive environment.
