Not exactly parasites on people. Being made of people, corporations are at a different level.

But they are at the same level as cities, tribes, communities or other social organizations. And they are symbiotic with them.

Sometimes a corporation is benign or in a good symbiotic relation with a community. Often it's in the role of a parasite.
