AcademicCMS

Academias are hierarchical institutions. And increasingly emulating corporations.

As such, a whole swathe of management has bought into student / content management systems. There's a commercial glint in the eye that these can support "distance learning" (with a higher pupil to staff ratio) And a bureaucrat's desire to build grand totalizing, controlling, systems.

One of the problems for AcademicWeblogs / WikiInTheClassRoom etc. is that they come into conflict with these institutional desires.
